November 20 – 21, 2018, in collaboration with the Leiden University Medical Center, for its members the ESCV is organizing a 2-day workshop in Leiden, the Netherlands, dedicated to Next Generations Sequencing in Clinical Virology. The workshop is focused on metagenomics, bioinformatics and diagnostics-related aspects of NGS relevant to clinical virology. It will include lectures by experts in the field, and discussions about NGS-related issues presented by the participants. The workshop is funded by the ESCV to further the aims of the Society, which include education and improvement of our knowledge on viral diseases for the promotion of public health. There is no registration fee for ESCV members and, as a member, you can apply for a bursary to cover (part of) your meeting attendance expenses using the application form. A total of 35 grants will be available from the ESCV and will provide up to €500 for travel and accommodation. If you are not a member yet, click here and join the ESCV; the annual fee is €40.
